I want to try this, I like beer, I like lemonade, seems like a win-win. Really don’t want to waste me shekels though.

Definitely worth the shekels. It’s a great summer time beer - hence the name. But light enough in flavor that if you want something a little bolder afterwards it really amps the next up in flavor.
Aso recommend their grapefruit and pomegranate.

its my favorite summer time beer. but i just tried Double Ds Watermelon Lager from Deep River Brewing company out of North Carolina and i think i have a new favorite. though its probably hard to find here in illinois

It’s a good summer beer. If you like lemons you’ll probably like it. I don’t care for lemons. I wouldn’t buy it, but have had some: camping, hot, cold beer, satisfying.
If you like lemons in tea you may like the Spiked Arnold Palmer. It’s my wife’s go to right now.

Shandys are great in the summer, though I’d use a European lager beer, bitter or ale rather than an American beer.

I am weird about beer, pretty much the only beers I like are the cheap “ bad ” American beer that beer snobs hate.

There are some good cheap beers but I generally stay away from watered down American beers like Budweiser, Coors, etc... not out of snobbery, but because I like flavour.
We sell Amstel (not great but drinkable), a 24x 330 ml bottles crate for £14.

So around here gas stations sell the 24oz tall singles. My wife found this 6 pack at Target, but hasn’t found it back there since. There is 1 gas station liquor store ( Dirt Cheap) that has it. So it’s a bit har d to find.

I bet hands down this place has the best 99 cent flavored cigar selection in town. That logo is so far gone I don’t even know where to start.
Yes, yes I do. The grade school kidding hauling a bag full of liquor, cigs, and who knows what else in the commercial up on their site. I can almost hear the dirtbag dad cursing the kid to hurry the fuck up you shitheaded little.. [indecipherable drunken slurring]. I’m literally amazed this place advertises.

Dirt Cheap is a different place than it once was in th 90’s.
He has since passed and not sure what came of his other business.
With the likable Fred a radio Morning show had him come in to read the “CL Freak of the week” segment with his old smoker voice made it more creepy.

It’s different place now. See a post I made to Blackcar . The owner ended up losing the business through the courts and got screwed over.
The chicken was for the logo of their in- house brand beer and it stuck.

I like it. They also do a grapefruit version that I like even better. I prefer the Steigel someone else mentioned, but in my area it’s hard to find and more expensive.

Aside from the creepy uncle vibe on the radio and probably having some kind of world record for selling cigarettes and booze to underage kids, he seems like a good person.

It’s a rather pleasant summer beer. On it’s own, it’s probably my second favorite Leinenkugel beer, behind their Sunset Wheat.
But if you want to really hit flavor country, mix a bottle of Sunset Wheat with either the Summer Shandy or (preferably) their Berry Weiss. Mixing the Berry Weiss and Summer Shandy, however, is just too sweet for my taste.

It’s very easy-drinking, if that’s what you like. It barely feels like beer in some respects.
Personally, I like to make my own shandy. A bottle of Sam Adams Summer Ale + 6 oz of Simply Lemonade. That’s my preferred lemon shandy.
